MARGARET DORN, leader of The Accidentals, is a singer, writer, producer and arranger whose work includes records, commercials, movie soundtracks, industrials, theater, nightclubs and the concert stage. Margaret's songs have been recorded worldwide by artists such as Karen Carpenter, Melba Moore, Hiromi Ota, and The Sweet Inspirations. She has sung with many artists, including Celine Dion, Bette Midler, Jennifer Lopez, Carly Simon, Lionel Ritchie, Donald Fagen, Michael Bolton, Boz Scaggs, Willie Nelson, Barry Manilow, Jessica Simpson, Michael McDonald, Garth Brooks, The Chieftans, and Diana Ross. Margaret is the choir director and a soloist for the Downtown Messiah. Margaret just finished producing a new CD called WOMEN OF A CERTAIN AGE The Songs of Kantor and Dorn

This past year, there have been three staged readings in New York, and the finale from the musical has been selected to close the show in the New Writer's Showcase of the National Alliance of Musical Theaters Festival in Manhattan. This project hearkens back to Margaret's early days in New York, performing and collaborating on musical scores at The Public Theater. She has also produced recent CDs Intermittent Plush, the latest Accidentals' CD, as well as the 2 CD-set, Little Noises, Marcia Pelletiere's collaborative album with artists such as The Accidentals, Joy Askew, Janie Barnett Richard Barone, Peter Link, Vernon Reid, Suzzy Roche, Terre Roche, and many others. She also produced her own great solo CDs, which were released in Europe:

She was a longtime member of Bob Telson's "Little Village," and toured with "The Warrior Ant," and was a featured soloist on the CD of that show. Margaret has also performed as a member of Terre Roche's band, Terre Roche and her Moodswings,and for many years was a member, vocal arranger, and choir captain for The Jenny Burton Experience. AND there's more -- she's one of the fabulous Carolling Carollers, who every year hold a traditional free Christmas concert under the Washington Square Arch, as well as caroling at New York's Town Hall and the Bottom Line. In 1987, they won the New York Music Award for Best Street Performance.
