Many of the Accidentals
performed Kevin Saunders Hayes' original songs and lyrics to accompany
the silent films Metropolis (first released in 1931) and
The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1923, starring Lon Chaney). These new settings
for the films include both full orchestral scoring and rock instrumentals.
The films with live performances of Hayes' scores were included in the
Avignon/New York Film Festival.
Kevin Saunders Hayes has written the
scores of over 25 feature films, and 15 stage musicals, and currently
has three productions in development including Full Moon, an original
story about a werewolf, Boxing Helena and The Toxic Avenger, both based
on the original films.
